Generative Engine Optimization
Generative Engine Optimization Services
SeoChopper's GEO service makes your business one of the sources ChatGPT, Perplexity and Gemini name when they write an answer for your customer. We give AI engines what they cite: sourced facts, clear entity definitions, dated expertise, and a consistent presence on the third-party sites they trust. Then we track how often you're cited each month.
AI answers don't have a page two. If your competitor is the source and you aren't, the customer never learns you exist.

Generative engines don't rank pages. They pull facts from sources they've decided are trustworthy and assemble an answer. If your site gives them nothing quotable, or they've never seen your name outside your own domain, you get skipped. It isn't personal. It's plumbing.
Nothing to quote
Your pages describe what you do in marketing language. There's no clean sentence a model can lift, no number with a source, no author with a name. So it quotes the competitor who wrote plainly.
You only exist on your own site
Models cross-check. If your business shows up in directories, reviews, industry articles and forums with the same facts each time, you look real. If it's only your homepage, you look like a claim.
The page is stale or unreadable to a machine
No date, no schema, key content behind scripts that don't render. Engines discount pages they can't confidently read or that look abandoned.
What the GEO service actually includes
Six deliverables. Each one exists so a model has a reason to cite you and a way to verify you.
Citation gap audit
Your priority questions, run through ChatGPT, Perplexity, Gemini and AI Overviews. For each: is there an answer, who's cited, which page, and what that page has that yours doesn't. This is the map for everything below.
Quotable-content rewrite
Key pages rebuilt around standalone declarative sentences a model can lift without context, plain entity definitions, and one idea per paragraph. It reads better to humans too, which isn't a coincidence.
Sourced authority layer
Specific statistics with linked sources and dates. Expert quotes with names and titles. Author bylines with credentials. These are the highest-lift signals in the research on generative visibility, and almost no local business site has them.
Entity and machine-readable setup
Organization and Person schema that agree with your off-site profiles, a maintained llms.txt, and pricing on public pages so buying agents can parse you. If pricing is only in a PDF or behind a form, agents leave you out.
Third-party presence build
Consistent facts across directories, review platforms, industry publications, and the community sites models lean on. Real participation, not spam. This is the slowest part and the biggest gap between you and whoever's currently being cited.
Share-of-AI-voice reporting
Monthly: how many of your priority queries mention you, against named competitors, on which engine, from which source. Reproducible by running the query yourself.
How the engagement runs
Audit and baseline
Where you stand across the four engines, per question.
You get: The citation gap report and a ranked list of pages and off-site fixes.
Rewrite for quotability
Existing pages first, new pages only for questions nobody on your site answers.
You get: Rewritten, schema-ready pages with sourced statistics and named authors.
Build presence
Directory consistency, review profiles, industry mentions, community participation, llms.txt live.
You get: A presence tracker with each item's status.
Track, report, adjust
Monthly citation checks. What moved, what didn't, what's next.
You get: The one-page report and, if you want it, a call.
GEO takes longer than on-page work because a lot of it happens off your site and on other people's timelines. We'll say that in the audit rather than after you've paid. Some queries flip within weeks. Trust-heavy ones can take a quarter or more.
AI cites where you show up, not just your website
A generative engine builds its confidence about your business from everywhere it's seen you. Your own site is one input. These are the others we work on.
Same name, address, description and category everywhere. Disagreement reads as unreliability.
Recent, specific reviews with real detail. Volume helps; consistency helps more.
Guest articles, roundups, expert comments. The mention matters more than the link.
Reddit and forum threads where your category gets discussed. Participation, not promotion.
Short how-to videos and thorough answers on Q&A sites, which several engines weight heavily.
We don't fabricate mentions and we don't pay for fake reviews. Both get detected and both are worse than being invisible.
AEO or GEO: which one do you need?
Usually both, in that order. AEO makes your pages quotable. GEO makes you a source engines already trust. Here's the difference in one glance.
| AEO | GEO | |
|---|---|---|
| Wins where | Answer boxes, People Also Ask, voice, AI Overviews | Long-form answers in ChatGPT, Perplexity, Gemini, Copilot |
| Main lever | Structure and directness | Sourced facts, entity clarity, off-site presence |
| On-site or off-site | On-site | Roughly half and half |
| Speed | Faster; page-level changes | Slower; depends on third parties |
| Page | /services/aeo | you're here |
Who this works for
Any business where the customer asks a real question before they buy. The queries generative engines answer are long and conversational; these are the kind we build for.
“My insurer offered a low settlement after a rear-end accident. Is that fair, or should I talk to a lawyer?”
“What are my options for a missing molar, and roughly what does each one cost?”
“My AC is 15 years old and the repair quote is steep. Repair or replace?”
Who's doing the work

The thing that convinced me GEO was real work and not a buzzword: I watched a model recommend a business with three Google reviews over one with three hundred, because the smaller one had a clean description repeated across a dozen sites and a founder with a name and a bio. The engines aren't counting reviews. They're checking whether you're the same business everywhere they look. That's what we fix.
More about Zain →Numbers you can reproduce yourself
We report which engine cited you, for which query, and from which source page. If a number on our report can't be reproduced by running the query yourself, it doesn't go on the report.
Illustrative report layout.
What it costs and how we work
Two ways to engage. Both start with the audit, and the audit is free either way.
Most GEO clients also need the AEO page work, so we scope both in the audit and price them together when that's cheaper for you.
One is a fixed-scope sprint: the audit, a set number of pages rewritten, entity setup, and a report. The other is a monthly retainer: ongoing content, presence building across third-party sites, and monthly citation reporting. What it costs depends on how much off-site work your questions need, so you'll have a real number before the first call ends.
Questions we get first
GEO is the practice of making your business a source that generative AI engines such as ChatGPT, Perplexity and Gemini cite when they write an answer. It relies on quotable content, sourced statistics, clear entity information, and a consistent presence on the third-party sites those engines trust.
