SEO and AI Search for Personal Injury Attorneys
SeoChopper helps personal injury firms get named in the AI answers accident victims read before they ever search for a lawyer, and rank for the searches that follow. Answer-structured case-type pages, attorney authority, state-specific content and directory consistency, reported in the numbers PI firms use: qualified calls, consults and signed cases.
PI has the most expensive clicks in search. It also has clients who ask an AI ten questions about their accident before typing “lawyer” anywhere. Winning those ten questions costs a fraction of winning the click, and right now almost nobody in your market is trying.

Nobody wakes up and searches “personal injury lawyer”. Something happens first. Then come the questions, to Google and now to ChatGPT, and by the time they type “lawyer near me”, most people already have a name in mind. The firm in the answers is that name.
Right after the accident
Nobody's hiring yet. But the engines are deciding which sources answer these well, and being one builds presence for what's next.
When the insurer calls
This is the moment. The AI's answer to these routinely says “consider speaking to a personal injury attorney”, and increasingly names one. Whose name that is gets decided by everything this page describes.
When they decide
Now it's the map pack, the rankings and the reviews. Classic ground, brutally expensive, and the AI-named firm walks in with the trust already built.
The service covers all three stages. Most PI marketing only fights over the last one.
What we do for PI firms
Six deliverables, tuned to how PI cases are actually found and signed.
PI-specific AI-visibility audit
The accident-journey questions for your state and case types, run through ChatGPT, Perplexity and AI Overviews. Which firms get named, at which stage, from which pages.
Case-type pages built to be lifted
Car accidents, trucking, slip and fall, and the rest of your case mix: one strong page each, direct answer on top, the process and contingency fee explained in plain words. Built to rank and to be quoted. AEO →
The question layer
The stage-one and stage-two questions above, answered per state where the law differs, attorney-reviewed and bylined. This is the content that gets you named before the search happens.
Attorney authority
Named attorneys with bar admissions on every substantive page, dated updates, sourced claims. Engines hold injury-and-money topics to the highest sourcing bar; this is how you clear it.
Directories, reviews and consistency
Avvo, Justia, FindLaw, Google, state bar listings: same facts everywhere; a review flow that fits your bar's rules and your intake reality. Engines cross-check PI firms hard because the category is noisy. GEO →
Signed-case reporting
Citations and rankings mapped to qualified calls, consults and signed cases where your intake data allows. Fee-value framing if you share it. One page, monthly. SEO →
Anything that states the law is attorney-reviewed and bylined by your firm before it publishes. No outcome promises, no invented settlement numbers, no “we win or it's free” language unless it's genuinely your offer and your bar allows it.
The audit shows where your firm sits at each of the three stages. →
How the engagement runs
Audit and baseline
Case types, states, journey questions, current citations, the competitor set that's actually getting named.
You get: The gap map and the first-90-days plan.
Foundation
Technical health, page cannibalisation resolved, attorney bylines and schema live, directory facts made identical.
You get: A site engines can crawl and trust.
Build the journey coverage
Case-type pages rebuilt, question layer written and attorney-reviewed, review flow running.
You get: Published, attorney-bylined pages.
Report in case terms
Monthly: where you're named, what ranks, qualified calls and consults from organic, next moves.
You get: The one-page report and a call if you want one.
The AI-answer layer usually moves first: those questions are less contested than PI rankings, which are among the hardest in search. The audit sorts your queries into fast, slow and not-worth-it before you spend anything.
Why this math works in PI like nowhere else
One signed case can carry a year of this work. That's not a sales line, it's the reason the strategy concentrates on a short list of queries instead of a wide content net.
You know your numbers: what a click costs you in your market, what a signed case is worth, how many clicks become cases. In the audit we put those next to the queries where AI answers already exist for your state, and the short list usually writes itself. We'd rather show you the math on your figures than quote a national average that isn't your market.
Concentration is the strategy. Ten queries you own beat a hundred you visit.
Is this page for you?
Firms whose casework is mostly injury: car and trucking accidents, premises, and the rest. The journey content, the economics and the query list are PI-specific.
PI firm in one of the covered states? The state pages apply to you too; the deadlines and fault rules there are the ones your clients ask about.
Case types we build for
Each one gets its own page on your site, because each has its own questions.
Not sure your case mix fits? Ask, the audit is free either way.
Who's doing the work

PI is where the gap between spend and structure is widest. I've seen firms paying some of the highest click prices in search while their site had no answer to “should I talk to the insurance adjuster”, the exact question their best clients ask days before hiring anyone. The firms getting named in AI answers aren't outspending them. They answered earlier.
More about Zain →Numbers you can reproduce yourself
We report which journey question, at which stage, got which firm named, and from which page. If you can't reproduce a result by running the query yourself, it doesn't go on the report.
Illustrative report layout.
What it costs and how we work
Two ways to engage. Both start with the audit, and the audit is free either way.
PI engagements are scoped by case types and states covered. If you run intake data we can wire reporting to it; if not, we report calls and consults.
One is a fixed-scope sprint: the audit, case-type pages rebuilt, attorney-byline and schema setup, and a report. The other is a monthly retainer: the question layer, citations and directory work, and monthly reporting. What it costs depends on how many case types and states, so you'll have a real number before the first call ends.
Questions PI firms ask first
Because PI clients ask a chain of questions over days before searching for a lawyer, and because PI's paid clicks are expensive enough that owning those earlier questions changes the economics. The strategy targets the journey, not just the final search.
